Fan art rendition of Apocalyptica’s 2015 album Shadowmaker.
I reimagined the cover as a paper-cut shadow box to bring the concept of shadows to life in a three-dimensional way. Months later, I recreated the box by hand as a gift for the band.
The Process
From sketching the idea to the final mockups, this project was done in Adobe’s Photoshop CC.
A fan girl with a mission
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to gift the handmade version of my concept to the band when I attended their concert in Querétaro, Mexico, on February 10, 2024.
The Outcome
Official Merchandise arriving in November 2025!
This project became one of the conversation starters with Apocalyptica’s management, and I helped them create an exclusive t-shirt illustration design for their upcoming tour in Mexico in November 2025. Stay tuned!
