I contributed with a new illustration for their merch as the team was looking for a design that was distinctively Mexican to commemorate the tour.
The Concept
Based on the legend that the Aztecs built their city where they saw an eagle eating a snake, the scene also includes marigolds, the iconic flower used in Día de Muertos, as its fragrance is said to lead souls back home.
The Process
From sketch to ink, to colors and vectors.
The Colors
The design had to work on a black background and be optimized for screen print using less than 4 colors for cost effectiveness.
The Outcome
Launched!
The illustration was successfully used for t-shirts and hip flasks.
No revisions or adjustments were requested during the production process.
Official merchandise booth at Teatro Morelos, Toluca, November 23rd, 2025.
