The timeline depends on the scope and complexity of each project. It can be as short as 12hrs for a tattoo design and as long as 3 months for merch or cover art projects.

Yes! I’m open to one-off illustration and design services depending on your needs such as but not limited to:

For most projects, yes.

Payment

It depends!

Pricing is tailored to the unique needs of each client and the type and scope of the project. In order to give an estimate, we would have to discuss the details in a clarity session.

Yes, I understand that custom design can be a significant investment.
I often work on a 50% upfront and a 50% against delivery basis, but I also offer other flexible payment plans depending on your needs.

For clients outside of Mexico, PayPal is preferred.
PayPal, cash and wire transfer is available to Mexico and Dominican Republic residents.

Tattoo

Please send me an email to franz(at)franzmori.com with the following information:

  • What is the main idea?
  • Is there a personal motivation, meaning, or story behind it? This is optional, but it helps me in creating something unique.
  • Where in your body is going to be the placed? Mention if right or left when it applies.
  • What size would you like it to be? Wide x height in centimeters; be specific, this is super important.
  • Do you have visual references? It could be pictures of real life objects/people/animals, artwork of mine that you like, or the graphic style you’re looking for.

I’ll get back to you within the next 48 hours.

Short answer: Only if you mention it during the booking process or clarity call. Otherwise I’ll show you the design the day of the appointment,and make any adjustments in person.

Depending on the depth and clarity of the idea, I would advise having a consultation and design process similar to that of any other illustration project.

I’m currently tattooing at Amuletto Tattoo Studio in Mexico City.

I have many tattoo designs ready and available on my Instagram highlights and on this page. I am constantly adding more pieces and most designs I tattoo only ONCE, so be on the lookout 😉

Communication Channels

For all written communication email is best. You can contact me in other ways, but eventually, it will lead back to email.

For clarity sessions and revisions we may also have video calls via Google Meet.

Copyrights

Unless stated otherwise in a signed agreement, ALL copyrights belong to the artist (franz mori).

As long as a commercial license or rights assignment is signed on an agreement, yes.

I feel more at home with watercolors and black ink technical pens.

Black ink pens:

  • Staedler pigment liners (1.2 , 0.8, 0.3, 0.1, 0.05)
  • Faber Castell Pitt Artist pens in Black (S, F, M, B)
  • Pentel Brush pen GFKP3

Watercolors:

  • Pébéo Aquarelle Fine (I’m currently using the Provence and the Méditeranée color palettes)
  • Schmincke Horadam Aquarell (I’m slowly switching to this brand)

Paper:

  • Fabriano Artistico 100% Cotton or Arches Cold Pressed 100% Cotton (For watercolor commissions)
  • Fabriano Accademia Blocs (For personal work)
  • Fabriano “Sketch” Bloc (For loose and quick sketches)

Digital Art
