Last year I had the pleasure of co-hosting an art challenge along with a group of talented artists. We called the challenge “Month of Masters”, and it was about studying, learning, experimenting, or just having fun replicating the artwork of master painters during the month of July.
You can see time-lapse videos of my entries on this YouTube Playlist or explore the hashtag #MonthOfMasters over Instagram to see all the amazing entries we had.
The challenge was a success and many asked if we were hosting the challenge again this year…The answer is YES!
↓ Here are the details ↓
✦ Month of Masters ✦
✦ Prompts – JULY 2021 ✦
✧ 3rd Edgar Degas
✧ 8th Juliana Seraphim
✧ 13th Maxfield Parrish
✧ 18th Catrin Welz-Stein
✧ 23rd Wiliam Godward
✧ 28th Choose your own!
✦ How it works ✦
✧ Pick a masterpiece by each master in the prompt list, study it, and/or draw it in your style.
✧ Post it on Instagram using the hashtags #monthofmasters and #monthofmasters21.
✧ In your post add the original masterpiece as the 2nd image and the prompt list as the 3rd image.
✧ It’s not compulsory to replicate the masterpiece. You can change, add or remove any elements you like (including color). Use your imagination, but keep it recognizable!
✧We will share our favorites on our insta stories✧
✦ Any media and skill level is welcome ! ✦
