Sixth sleeve for my project #100albumsleeves🔥.

I discovered London Grammar with the track “Help Me Lose My Mind“, a collaboration they did with Disclosure. I played that song for quite some time in 2019 when I was a fitness instructor (it was a favorite of mine to do warm ups😂)

I wasn’t curious about London Grammar until one of my students said I might like their solo projects. And she was damn right.

🤯I was blown away by Hannah Reid’s voice and at first was hooked with their first album, If You Wait (2013), but I gradually became fond of their second album, Truth Is A Beautiful Thing (2017).

My favorite songs from Truth Is A Beautiful Thing (2017) are :

🎵Rooting For You

🎵Big Picture

🎵Oh Woman Oh Man

🎵Non Believer

🎵Bones of Ribbon

Some nice surprises in the Deluxe version are the song “Control” and a live cover of “Bittersweet Symphony“.

For my illustration, I was inspired by sand, a common theme in this album, and also by the aesthetic of the video for their new song “Californian Soil“.

I experienced some resistance to this piece as I received some bad news while working on it. So I started working on this idea, abandoned it, worked on something else that I didn’t like, and then went back to the first idea. I don’t regret it though, the other drawing was something I had to get out of my system and I’m going to finish at another moment.
