Sleeve #15 for my project #100albumsleeves 🔥.
After last week’s overthinking I wanted to relax and take things easy. I was listening to a particular playlist I have with relaxing music and Devendra Banhart’s “Freely” started to sound. I immediately imagined blots of color peeking through text. After that, I knew that was my next album.
My goal was to have fun, I didn’t know what was going to come out. I took a piece of paper and started painting with watercolors. While listening to the music I felt like making lines and then some eyes. Everything was done freely without a prior sketch.
Once on the computer, I imagined the packaging: my random painting as the inner sleeve and as the jacket, a deep-green cardboard with perforated text, and a reddish-pink interior, so the colors could peek through.
It was nice to create drama-free and it goes without saying that I’m in love with the result 😍.
