Fourth Sleeve for my project #100albumsleeves! That’s a month y’all! 🔥
I made so much personal drama for this one. I had this vision of creating an image in a Japanese traditional painting style. And my brain went:
- 😰I don’t know how to do perspective
- 😰This is going to take so long
- 😰It would look so bad
- 😰I’m going to mess up
Meanwhile, I was procrastinating, collecting as many reference pictures as possible. NOT DOING THE WORK! So I assessed myself and discussed the idea with my husband.
What is it that I like about this idea? What do I want to create and spend time with?
- ✨a Snowy scene
- ✨a blue sky
- ✨a wolf
What is something I don’t want to do?
- ❌intricate perspective
- ❌architecture elements
Am I willing to mess up?
- ✔️YES
And then the idea came clearer and I STARTED. With a bunch of fear but with the confidence, I could survive creating a fart.
To my surprise, this took half the time I expected and I’m happy with the result. I learned so much from this artwork. Next time my brain fills with drama I can think back on this piece.
